AISI type 52100 chrome steel bearing balls have excellent surface quality and dimensional precision. They offer superior wear resistance, high hardness (Rockwell C 60-66) and high load bearing capacity as a result of through-hardening.
Chrome steel is a chrome alloy carbon steel, not a chrome plated steel. It's approximately 95% iron.
Carbon = 0.95 - 1.1%
Chromium = 1.3 - 1.6%
Relative magnetic permeability ( µ ): Ferromagnetic > 300
These chrome steel balls are widely used in precision bearings, automotive components (brakes, steering, line shaft), bicycle, agitators, appliances, sliders, quick couplings, machine tool, lock mechanisms, conveyor belts, skates, pens, pumps, castors, measurement instruments, valves.
Balls are environmentally friendly non-toxic. Please be rest assured to use!
Warm Tips:
1. Dimension check: These are very precision balls, when you check the dimension, please kindly use micrometer with accuracy at least +/-0.001mm, otherwise the test results are likely to be inaccurate.
2. Magnet: Since these balls are approximately 95% iron, they can be attracted by magnet. But they are not magnet balls nor magnetized, they couldn't be used as magnet purpose.
3. Package: Balls will be nicely packed into transparent plastic bag, then with bubble envelop or carton for protection outside. ( The jar shown in first picture is to hold balls to take photo only and not for delivery )
